I was born in Manizales, Colombia, the 18th of June 1978; surrounded by coffee plantations where I will go every weekend with my great big family. Palestina, Caldas, an amazing area where birds don't stop singing and the workers that harvest the coffee neither. A beautiful green place where you won't find only coffee, but all the fruits you can imagine and the flowers you’ll always enjoy looking at. All this together with the peaceful certainty of having nice and helpful people around you.
Since I was very little I loved to paint and draw… love copying with pencil my favorite comic characters and paint with acrylics the landscapes of my dreams. I remember my grandmother loved them, and hang them on the wall of her house very proud. I guess this was it! and I loved it for the rest of my life.
I never stoped creating because I have a mother that taught me how to sew and embroider and I also have father (carpenter, electrical technician, farmworker, etc…) who will invite me to learn just about anything he was doing. So here I’m, studied Industrial Design but feel in love of any kind of Art and yes, I do love Architecture.
I live on Bonaire for 10 years already, just because I’m following a diver who's my love for more than 14 years now and also because I have a daughter that loves the water too. Just a great combination for me, because I saw the opportunity to establish my design company (Kaha Blanku Design) and my wonderful Art Classes (Dare to Paint Bonaire).
